Opportunities to Study the Environment and Sustainability

Poster presentation

Bryn Mawr College is not only dedicated to sustainable initiatives, but also to providing opportunities to study sustainability and environmental issues through a multidisciplinary perspective. Bryn Mawr and Haverford Colleges launched the Bi-College Department of Environmental Studies in 2018, which gave rise to a new interdisciplinary major and two full time faculty, which you can learn more about below. Bryn Mawr also offers the Growth and Structure of Cities Department which provides the foundation for understanding the environmental conditions of urban life.

Bryn Mawr also offers a variety of 360° Course Clusters which combines academic teamwork and non-traditional classroom experience that explores a common theme or problem. Many past 360° course clusters have focused on sustainability and climate change, like Climate Change: Science and Politics. Look out for new 360° course clusters!
